Music

Oboist of Mexico's National Symphony Orchestra. Experimental composer exploring the intersection of acoustic instruments, electronics, and temporal perception.
DMA student at UC San Diego.

As principal oboist of Mexico's National Symphony Orchestra since 2016, I perform a diverse repertoire spanning baroque to contemporary works. My performance practice embraces both historical performance on period instruments and cutting-edge contemporary music, creating a bridge between tradition and innovation.

My approach to the oboe is rooted in technical precision while embracing the instrument's expressive capabilities. Whether performing standard orchestral repertoire, contemporary commissions, or experimental works, I seek to uncover the unique voice within each piece.

My compositions explore the intersection of acoustic instruments, electronics, and conceptual frameworks. Drawing from my doctoral research at UC San Diego, my works investigate temporal perception, translating photographic processes into musical structures.

As part of my DMA research at UC San Diego, my work explores the relationship between sound, image, and temporal perception.

My performances and my music

Performance

As oboist of Mexico's National Symphony Orchestra since 2016 and soloist, I perform a diverse repertoire spanning baroque to contemporary works.

Compositions

My compositions explore the intersection of acoustic instruments, electronics, and conceptual frameworks. Drawing from my doctoral research at UC San Diego, my works investigate temporal perception, translating photographic processes into musical structures and questioning the nature of time in artistic practice.

Each composition emerges from a specific conceptual inquiry, whether exploring the relationship between visual and sonic representation, investigating biological rhythms, or examining philosophical questions about causality and free will.
