My perspective on Japan.

A quiet record of Japan's layered landscapes. Of course the iconic temples or neon districts, but also the spaces between: the speed of the big cities, the slow rhythm of rural life in mountain villages.

Shot mainly in black and white with some winks of color with the Lumix GX9, these images embrace the Japanese aesthetic. The beauty of negative space, the weight of silence.

Time here moves differently. Some times frozen, almost always flowing.
Locations: Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Enoshima, Kamakura.
Ongoing project.
